This trip follows a picturesque route running along within the heart of the Balkan Range Mountains. It takes the traveler to charming mountain towns, renown for their splendid cultural and nature sights. Staying at comfortable family guesthouses, tasting local food and wines, studying historical landmarks and challenging ones skills at ancient craftsmanship: all these activities allow the traveler to fully capture the character of Bulgaria and at the same time relax completely from the busy modern everyday life.
   
   Day 1 Arrival in Sofia. Friendly welcome by a tour guide . Transfer from airport. Lunch. A half day sightseeing tour of the central part of Sofia - "St.Sofia" basilika, "St.George" Rotunda, the Russian Church, the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the National Theatre, the Tsar Osvoboditel Monument, the House of Parliament etc. Dinner. Overnight in Sofia.
   Day 2 Breakfast at 09.00. Then departure for the town of Sopot and the town of Karlovo - Bulgarian towns rich in historic and cultural heritage. Lunch in the town of Kalofer at a typical Bulgarian house from the National Revival period. A visit to a work shop where some of the most beautiful Bulgarian handmade carpets, blankets and the famous Karlovo lace are made. Visiting Kazanlak, the main town in the Valley of Roses, where the famous Rose Festival is held annually. The picturesque Valley of Roses is tucked between the Balkan Range and Sredna Gora Mountains, where hundreds of thousands of roses are in bloom in May and beginning of June - "a feast for the eye and soul…"
Dinner and overnight in the village of Shipka.
 Day 3 Breakfast. Then a visit to the Museum of the Roses in the Valley of Roses in Kazanlak, as an inseparable piece of the Bulgarian history and culture. The famous oil-yielding Bulgarian rose became the country’s symbol since the 18th century. There are a lot of people from all over the world coming here, knowing that they will experience something different and unusual, because the beautiful environment makes them forget the trivial daily life and prepares them to experience new sensations. Among the heady aroma of the roses you will have the chance to observe the unique rose boiling ritual and taste the unique rose brandy and rose jam. Lunch.

Dinner and overnight in the village of Shipka.
 Day 4 After breakfast a visit to the remarkable Russian church in the Shipka village. Then departure for Bojentsi and Etara museum-villages - idyllic villages where the time seems to have stopped  centuries ago. An excellent opportunity to learn more about Bulgaria and her people in the authentic atmosphere of the place. The waft of freshly baked bread drifts across from an old bakery and a tiny coffee shop serves streaming sweet coffee cooked in a copper pot. Pastry cooks offer delicious home-made cookies and cakes. And around all this - lovely old houses, flowers on the window sills, small shops with wooden shutters and gas lanterns on the street corners. Then you have lunch tasting the delicious Bulgarian yogurt - well known all over the world. Dinner and overnight in Bojentzi Guesthouse.
   Day 5 Breakfast at 09.00. Then you depart to the town of Triavna, built at the foothills of the Central Balkan mountains.Sightseeing of the town of Triavna famous with it has preserved Some of the best examples of buildings from the Bulgarian Renaissance period. The seven museum collections contain unique pieces of art from the late medieval period, such as icons and woodcarvings.. Walk in Triavna and visiting the Clock tower (built in 1814), the old bridge and Saint Arhangel Michail churge. Lunch. In the afternoon visit to some of the museums. Spend the evening in Bojentzi guesthouse.
Day 6 Breakfast at 09.00. Sightseeing of the town of town of Koprivshtitsa - white stone walls, overgrown with ivy and wild geranium and gardens full of flowers. Vaulted stone bridges run across the bubbly Topolnitsa river. Heavy, iron-studded gates hide blue, yellow and red houses with verandas, bay windows and eaves and the spacious rooms are lit up by brightly colored rugs and cushions, carved ceilings and cupboards, copper vessels and ceramics. Specialists say that every house in Koprivshtitsa is a work of art. The Oslekov, Kableshkov and Lyutov houses are fine examples of this. Lunch in Koprivshtitza.
Travel to the town of Sofia.
Dinner and overnight in Sofia.
 Day 7 Breakfast at the hotel. A visit to the Museum of National history in Boyana village and the Boyana church - a cultural monument under the protection of UNESCO. The most remarkable feature of the church are its frescos from 1259, painted by an unknown Bulgarian artist in the style of the V. Turnovo School of Painting and are the best achievement of Bulgarian mediaeval art. Lunch. A visit to the Dragalevtsi Monastery.
Dinner at a folk-style restaurant with Bulgarian traditional cuisine and folklore. While trying the delicious Bulgarian dishes and sampling the famous Bulgarian wines you will be admiring the beautiful Bulgarian - melodious tunes and beautiful voices, lively dances and brightly colored costumes - Bulgarian folklore has to be seen, felt and experienced!
Day 8 Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Transfer to the airport.
